Soul Survivors Festival - May 22, 2010 in Downtown Ferriday
Celebrating the history of blues and the contributions of African American musicians to the legacy of Ferriday, Louisiana. A Mississippi Blues Marker, one of the few to be placed outside the state of Mississippi, will be unveiled on the lawn of the Delta Music Museum. The marker speaks of Haney's Big House, a Ferriday club frrequented by greats like B. B. King, Fats Domino, and others as part of the ‘Chitlin Circuit.’ Live music, food, vendors, and kids‚ are all part of our Soul Survivors Festival.
