Successful Songwriters Show You How It's Done
You've heard their hits all over country radio, now hear the rest of the story. The Ferriday, LA Arcade Theater hosts Ferriday Songfest, bringing in six hit songwriters from Nashville to discuss the craft and business of songwriting, Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They'll offer an insider's view to songwriters of all levels and fans of country music. They will also offer a critique of those workshop participants who bring their songs on CD (limit 2 per participant, please).
Saturday night, we'll all join up again at Comfort Suites Riverfront in Vidalia, LA, where songwriters and participants will perform their songs live for the audience. Admittance to the show is $10 for participants and audience members.

9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Registration.
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Introduction and recap of what's happened since last year. Our guest songwriters and several participants will be bringing us up to date on their careers.
11:00 a.m.
We will begin critiquing songs offered by you, the participant. If you want a song critiqued, bring the audio on CD, and 6 copies of the lyric sheet. We will listen to up to two songs per participant, more only if time allows.
1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
LUNCH
2:00 - 5:00p.m.
Our afternoon session will include a discussion of subjects brought up by both guest songwriters and participants. Participants are free to ask questions of the songwriters.
6:00 - 7:00p.m.
Grand Soleil Hotel - Attendees get the chance to perform their songs after hours.
7:00 - 8:00p.m.
Pro Show - Our invited professional songwriters will perform some of their songs.
