The Ferriday, LA Arcade Theater annually hosts Ferriday Songfest, bringing in a panel of successful, award-winning songwriters from Nashville to discuss the craft and business of songwriting. They'll offer an insider's view of the music business to all levels of songwriters and music fans. They will also offer a critique of those workshop participants who bring their songs on CD (limit 1 song per participant, please).
Listening to comments from the 2008 Ferriday Song Fest, it was decided to change the focus in 2009 to critique as many songs as possible and use the remaining time to allow each of the panelists to discuss topics of his/her choice
Saturday night, we'll all join up again at Bowie's Tavern so that pros and amateur songwriters alike can perform their songs live for the audience. Admittance to the show is $5 for non-participants and audience members.
